Smithville's Next Star (16 and Under)

RULES
1. You must be a resident of Niagara, Hamilton-Wentworth or Haldimand-Norfolk.
2. You must be 16 or under, as of the competition date, to compete.
3. Registration for the Next Star Competition is dealt with on a first come, first serve basis.
4. Pre-registration is allowed by email only to jenn_mckillop@hotmail.com , beginning Sep. 1, 2011, 12:00am. Please remember to include your full name, date of birth, telephone number and address in the email.
5. Only 12 singers will be allowed to compete. To secure your spot, you must be at the event location no later than half an hour in advance, Saturday, September 3rd at 4pm. If you are not there at 4pm, your spot will be given to the first person on the waiting list. Please bring proof of address with you.
6. We have a karaoke dj who will have song tracks available, but you can also bring your own karaoke track as long as it is accompanied by a receipt if bought online. You may also choose to accompany yourself on guitar or piano, but you must bring your own instrument.
7. Entrants will be judged and then the top 5 will be asked to perform a 2nd song for the final judging and audience vote. We want to avoid a popularity contest at all costs, therefore voters will vote for the person they came for and another deserving entrant in the top 5 to validate their vote.
